All of our classes incorporate a number os Asanas (physical practice), Pranayama (breath awareness) and Relaxation (inner connection) to achieve balance. Once harmony is created within the body, it is carried through your everyday circumstances, environments and relationships.
We follow the principles of Hatha Yoga to achieve this harmony in a tangible, physical way. While Hatha literally means force, the word has two parts, Ha and Tha. Ha is solar, masculine energies and the sympathetic central nervous system and Tha is lunar, feminine energies, the parasympathetic nervous system.
The practice of Yoga balances these two opposing forces in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. From this point of strength and objectivity, we are equipped to face life's many challenges as they are presented.
